HP Pavillion dv9428nr XP drivers

Hello everyone. For the last week i faced the problem of downgrading Vista to XP on 2 different laptops. First i had Toshiba 215 but after several days of efforts to dwngrade it i went to the store and changed it to HP dv9428nr, apparently hoping that it would be easier to get XP drivers for it. Surfing the web in search of the XP drivers i figured out that i'm far not the only one with this problem. But if looking for Toshiba drivers i acheived some success then with HP it occured to be even worse.
If anyone has any useful information about downgrading this Laptop to XP and getting the drivers i'd be really grateful for that.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello, and welcome to Driver Heaven.

Now about your question,
Notebooks can be very tricky finding drivers for, especially if they were not designed for an OS you want to install. Generally upgrading an OS is much easier then downgrading.

Unfortunatly unless someone makes their own drivers, or you petition HP for XP drivers you're pretty much out of luck.

I know this is not the words you want to hear, but stick with Vista. Vista is a good OS if you have plenty of RAM.

Hi.

You can download all the WinXP drivers you need for your laptop at the following location:

Software & Driver downloads*HP Pavilion dv9000z CTO Notebook PC

They work like a charm. I have just installed them in a customer's machine exactly like yours.

Hope it helps.

Best regards,

-J.
