ATI Card Problem

I have had a dell inspiron E1505, with an ATI radeon mobility x1300 card for almost a year now. A few days ago i decided to reinstall the ati card because i was having crashes with games. I uninstalled the drivers properly, but when i tried to reinstall them i was told access denied. Then i uninstalled the card totally and reinstalled it. Now the access denied went away and it says i need to use a vga driver to install it. After a day of research i was led to the omega drivers. I went into safe mode, used driver cleaner and installed the omega drivers. My problem is, after i install them and reboot the drivers have done nothing. The tray tools says it can't find the driver. What should i do? Thanks.

Have you tried your vendors (dell) official drivers first of all. I know they are not usually the most up to date drivers but it could be a potential starting point. If not post again and we will do our best to help.
