Help with HP Recovery

Hi,
I am trying to recover my HP Pavilion DV6500 CTO runing Windows Vista Home Premium with the DVD that came with it. After 3 hrs. of installations and when softwares like vongo, HP help, norton, office, quickplay, etc. etc. are installed (FBI Gui however shows approx. 50% completion) my system restarts and after restart a message comes that recovery failed.

To give u an overview wht exactly is happening b4 the this fatal restart ...... Just b4 the restart a box poped reading someting like collecting system information and there was also another dialogue box stating that graphics card is detected what i want to do (i ve tried thrice..once installing chosing installing the graphic card driver the other time not doing anything but same result and once chosing remind me later).

After the error of recovery failed appears i have to restart the laptop....it boots into windows but closes within 2 mins and restarts again....this time it restarts with the recovery manager telling me to recover the system...!!

I ve tried twice but have failed....!!! F11 can not b used since i do not have the recovery partion...!

can anyone here help me...!!!!!???????????? PLEASE...!! I ve had 2 sleepless nights ... plz help me....!

why does the recovery fail after Vista is installed..all other softs are v. well installing...wht goes wrong..? and wht can i do to correct it..??
