Hello there, just wondering if you still hve the drivers to Toshiba Laptop, A215-S5818 running Win XP, please i will appreciate if you can help me with this. Been working on my daughter's laptop for over 2wks now with no luck to get drivers for SM Bus Controller, and Ethernet Controller, appreciate your help.

confirmed the drivers work on A215 S5849 PSAFGU-07 101J
But one thing I noticed on XP is that my data dvds won't read since XP was installed,
I can put my data dvds made on the toshiba into other computers and the files pop up but on the toshiba it just reads for ages and finally pops up as if the data dvds are blank,I can watch movie dvds and cds work fine,anyone know why or how to fix this?

Hi, guys thanks for xp drivers , it help mo to complete my a215 5818 downgrade to xp. But still can't activate fn keys b'coz there's always error report missing common module when trying to installed hotkeys module.

I tried to browse common module for this type but cant found, if there's anyone knows where to find it , i would appreciate that.

secondly, I had error messg when booting it said bios checksum error .. press f2 to default and bla bla.... , what's wrong ?

Hello All,
Probably breathing some life into this "dead" forum but I recently purchased this model of laptop from my wife's coworker and I'm downgrading to XP until my MSDNAA account becomes reinstated so I can get Windows 7 free. Until then I have been trying to install the necessary drivers to this laptop to make it fully functional.

I noticed that none of the files originally posted, 1st page of forum, are .DLL. They are showing up as .DIY files, I'm not sure what application I need to install these drivers.

Any help on what initial steps to a driver-less machine should be made prior to extracting the drivers would be appreciated.
