Hi thx for the quick reply and the welcome. but i have no idea what driver to get off that site or maybee im a n00b and they are all for the same video card just different versions .

the 177.26 is the newest set of drivers so you can try those. Remember to click the correct version of windows that you have in use.

In XP Sony have no updated drivers
For Vista they have [COLOR=#0000ff]nVidia Video Driver 7.15.10.9813[/COLOR] -- Vaio : Support

I would give the latest Realtek audio drivers a shot for the sound http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...Audio%20Codecs . For the video drivers, laptopvideo2go is probably your best bet. Something like this (hopefully): Drivers | laptopvideo2go.com
