Graphics' Drivers?

Do AMD and Nvidia support their mobile solutions with new drivers or is it still up to owners to find drivers tweaked by some other owner?

Not sure about Nvidia, but AMD/ATI appears to offer drivers for SOME mobility cards...

Going through the selector at Drivers & Software shows an OPTION for mobility cards, but I think they all redirect to AMD GAME Drivers & Tools or whatever page is applicable for your OS. There, you have to download their Verification tool to see if their Mobility software is compatible or not, which will MOST LIKELY tell you that, no, it isn't and that you should ask your manufacturer for drivers (which it did for me on my first-gen MacBookPro with an ATI X1600M).

You can download nvidia mobile/go drivers but more often than not you need to use the manufacturer ones if your trying to go thru nvidia/ati themselves. its a pain in the arse if you ask me.

Yeah, it's a pain, but I usually use Omega Drivers, which seem to automatically support all the Radeon Mobility chips, OR I use the MobilityModder.net tool to mod other drivers (official, DNA, etc.) to work for my chip.
