Toshiba Satellite A305-S6839, Memory Question

So, instead of the Sony Notebook I was going to get, I decided to get the A305-S6839.

I see that it has a T8100 processor which is an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.10GHz, 3MB L2, 800MHz FSB

I see that it's 800mhz FSB
But the ram is PC5300 DDR2 SDRAM

So, would it be better to get some PC6400 ram and get full performance?
Also, will the notebook take full advantage of the PC6400?

System Specs

It's not important these days since FSB and memory is made to run asynchronously, and besides there's quite a bit of playing with numbers going on here. The FSB in this case actually runs at 200MHz and the memory at 333MHz, going by the actual clock frequencies and not the dual or quad pumped numbers that comes from the theoretical result of using various bus technologies.

Thank you for the information.

BTW, ram is so cheap, I'm going to grab a 4gb kit

Hey, I noticed you have some questions about your laptop. I work at M80 and we are teaming up with Toshiba to help spread the word about a sponsored site called Laptop Experts. If you still have unanswered questions, you might consider checking out laptopexperts.federatedmedia.net where you can ask tech experts, like Joel Johnson of Boing Boing, about any problem for any brand of computer. I hope this helps!
