2nd OS on Vaio VGN-AR605E

Hi to all,
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-AR605E with Vista factory installed. Instead of downgrading to XP, I prefer to put a 2nd hard disk. Can I possibly install Win XP on the 2nd hard disk and dual boot it with the factory installed Vista or can i dissable 1st hard disk in bios setup(Vista) and boot on the 2nd HDD with XP? and vice versa? Any options that is possible pls. give me some guidelines .Thanks for any help or comments.
