Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708

I love the toshiba products having sworn off Dell for awhile and Alien, I found this product in a store in America recently and the reviews are outstanding for this machine, but the appearance, like so many other dedicated gaming laptops is rather odd. I just cant get over the translucent candy red appearance of the case and keyboard face, but it is a great machine by description, does anyone out there have this lappy already?

I like how it looks, but too much of a thief magnet if you take it outside all the time.

If I were rich I would still buy it.

I thought about the Alienware machine, the latest Dell, etc. and of course other more expensive lappies but I cant get the value out of them versus the expense, it would be a prestige thing at best. If you look at the Toshiba website, its pretty slick

$4,200. Now is that worth it. I would like to buy it myself but cant i just get one for $1,000 and still have everything I need.

I know, it seems that at least 1000.00 dollars of the price is pure prestige and not power. I saw the Falcon models too, but I just dont know that much about their reliability. My son and daughter love their Macs and my girlfriend and my father have had nothing but trouble with their Dells and spotty tech support. There are certainly good choices out there, but perhaps I can wait a bit and play with my telephoto lenses.
