Help with wireless on laptop

right iv got a fujitsu amilo li 2727 laptop, originally runnin on vista basic.

my hd failed and i had to re install windows, so i chose vista ultimate, now my atheros ar5007eg wireless adapter says its working but i cant press the hot keys (fn and f1) and i cant turn it on in the mobility centre either.

oh and it says its enabled in bios and i have the most up to date driver for it

please help as i need wireless for my job at the moment

There's a couple things you can try:

1) If the Ethernet driver is working (the wired connection), connect this directly to your Internet connection/router, and run Fujistus DeskUpdate utility. That utility will find the drivers for your system. The only drawback is that the utility will only find drivers for the bit version (32bit or 64bit) of the OS that came with the laptop.

2) Fujitsu, for some dumb ass reason, want you to use the DeskUpdate utility, and usually hide the direct driver links, but they are there on their site. I don't know if this link will work outside their site, but HERE is the driver you need according to their site.

Also, you can go to THIS site. That's the main download page. Once there paste in AMILO Li 2727 into the box that says, "Please enter either the Serial-/Identnumber or the product name:", and hit the arrow beside the box. On the new page expand the listing that says, "Microsoft Windows Vista", and choose either Windows Vista for the 32bit drivers, or Windows Vista x64 for those drivers.
