You can find the drivers on HP's site (which is back to being as unintuitive as ever, I'll grant them that): Select software and drivers Compaq Presario C500 CTO Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (Canada - English)

i'm having the same problem i'm using the compaq presario c500 and recently removed vista off and replaced it with xp and i have every driver except the video controller and vga compatible video controller drivers....does anyone know where i can go?

i've also looked at the HP site and can't find it....friends have tried to help me...universal driver discs won't work.....nothing works that i can find....without the video controller/vga video controller drivers i cannot see a dvd when i play it i can just hear it....i have all other drivers but this/these....it would really help if someone could let me know where to find these drivers! thanks!

Just search the hp site with your product's id. Just flip over your laptop and you should be able to find it there.
