Laptop screen broken and new drivers made video out stop working, please help !

I woke up exhausted this morning, looking around the net and found this site while checking to see if Omega drivers were updated, got excited over the Ati Mobility modder and installed the 9.9 drivers without even stopping to think about it. The serious problem here is that my laptop's main screen is broken and I've been using a Samsung Syncmaster 931bf lcd plugged into the vga out and now the screen will not come on.

The laptop is a Dell Dimension E1505. Windows Xp SP3 is installed. I have tried Fn+F8 and restarting, not really sure what else to do.

well, there is very little you can do if you can't see... :S

maybe there is a BIOS setting that sets the VGA output as default (if in BIOS both VGA and LCD outputs are enabled, so you can see what's happening on the screen)... see if there is, change it, boot up in safe mode and set the video output to the VGA port... or if it boots up without any problem with VGA as the primary video output set in BIOS (even when not in safe mode), just leave it as it is...
