What to expect ?
Morning gents/ladies...First post, so please excuse my newbness, as I may not be familiar with the boards protocalls. ...but I wanted to post here, to kinda of ask questions as to what I might expect out of the new Alienware M15x, I'm receiving in December with the i7 720QM ,260M, Dual 4ghz 1033's. I'm coming from the Dell Inspiron 6000, which is pretty old, I'd guess. I'm really excited about it to say the least. I'm only looking spend in that $2000.00 price range, and was also wondering if I should be considering the upgrade on the processor. Is that where the bottle neck would be if any? Thanks to all who are helpful.

First off congrats on yer laptop purchase. I don't think any i7 would bottleneck yet? Everything else seems up to spec. Have fun with it!

I am not sure if I am getting you point but I figured you haven't purchased it yet ?
Alienware 15x is probably the first laptop with i7 and it maybe assumed as one of the little gaming laptops but (as expected) the drawback of powering this monster is lowering the battery life , I recommend you check DH review to have a full coverage about this Laptop

You shouldn't have any bottlenecking at your CPU with that graphics card.
