I was just wandering if anyone knew that this laptop was up to gaming?

I can say that is equal to mid range gaming Desktop PC , which means you can generally play most games 1920*1080 with high details apart from Crysis . If you want to know about specific games don't be shy to post

My sis has an Acer lappy and with that she has a 9600M gpu. As far as benchies go I expected better performance in the first Far Cry than what transpired.

The games i was thinking about getting are Company of heroes, Men of war, mount and blade, wolfenstien and far cry 2. DO you reckon it would be up to the task?

Yes I reckon you can run all of these games (even Far Cry 2) with no problems , I have lower specs than yours and I run it on maximum detail 1280*1024 so I guess in your case it will be fine.
