No backlight, already replaced a bunch of parts
Hey guys, a few weeks ago my screen started glitching out on me like crazy. I figured out that it was a blown capacitor on the board on the back of my lcd and ordered a new screen. When it got here I unhooked my old screen and hooked my new one to my inverter and motherboard. I could now see the Acer BIOS screen, but my backlight wasn't coming on.
I wondered if I had gotten a bad screen so I hooked up the old one, and still nothing, no backlight on that one either. Thinking that I'd damaged my inverter or data cable I bought new ones, those got here today, and I still don't have backlight activity. At this point I've replaced almost everything, and my computer still outputs a signal to an external monitor, so I know that it's not a motherboard issue. It's an Aspire 4315-2490. I originally had a glossy screen, and replaced it with a matte screen from a 4315-2004. They should be compatible. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: No backlight, already replaced a bunch of parts
You have replaced everything.
Have you confirmed if the inverter board is getting power? Are you certain the backlight is functional? |
