Re: G73 vs m17x

The ASUS has a better processor, more RAM, more hard drive space and the rest is near enough the same.
So, the ASUS.

Re: G73 vs m17x

Get an m17x with an nVidia card GTX280m or something newer. The mobility Radeon 5780 is very weak, it can hardly beat an old nVidia 8800...

Re: G73 vs m17x

realy? but i don't have that option to put gtx280m!!!
I don't understand, mobility 5870 is different of 5870 normal in desktop ??
If I put one graphic card more powerfull I will spend more !!
how many fps do you think that g73 run counter strike source, and cod mw2?
My only problem of g73 is that he is very ugly!! don't have design.

As you can see, Mobility Radeon 5870 has more in common with the Desktop Radeon 5770, and nothing in common with the Desktop Radeon 5870. The clocks are even slower then those of the 5770.

When it comes to mobile gaming, the card isn't that weak, but when you compare it to a desktop 5850 (not even the 5870), the mobility 5870 has barely half the performance.

Here's a quick link for you with MW2 tested: Benchmark Results: Modern Warfare 2 And Crysis : AVADirect's W860CU: Mobility Radeon HD 5870 Vs. GeForce GTX 285M As you can see, compared to the desktop 5850 gets just about 1/2 framerate.

If you could hold on for a few weeks (maybe more), the GTX480m was launched, it should be interesting.
