Don't work F11 Recover mode, in Stupid HP DV6 2150 us laptop.

i buy a HP Notebook Pavilion DV-6 2159 US with window 7 home prem ...,


I want to reinstall new window , WINDSOW 7

But HP Recover CD is not work with F11. very stupid

how do i reinstall with window7 license version with original serial key.

Can i install other window 7 DVD , and Can user the serial key from back covery of laptop (window 7 sticker).

How Do? ... Next time ... I never buy the HP any Laptop . HP is very expansive and service is very bad ...HP is not good in laptop ... Their website is Useless and their staff were brainless ... They use very Stupid recovery cd mode...

Hi there and welcome to HH!

If you want to boot from CD/DVD look the boot settings in BIOS and set them so that you have the CD/DVD drive as 1st then the hdd's. That's the easiest way to get CD/DVD booting working. =)

The original version of Windows 7 is OEM version. So I think you can install Windows 7 Home Premium on it with another DVD by using the original serial.
