something wrong with my laptop
I had a compaq P3 1Ghz. I install Winxp in there and partition the hard drive into 2 drives and now every I boot, it keeps saying disk controller failure and I have to manually turn on/off the switch like 30 times and it boots. Then I reinstall windows and delete all the partition and install it as 1 partition. It install fines and now, after I shut down , turn on the thing happens again and this time it won't boot. I know I mess it up. Before, i partitiate it , it was fine.
Any guess how to fix it. I even can't boot by CD. |

Some Compaq Models have the BIOS Settings and the Setup Program in a Hide Partition in the Hard Drive. Deleting this Partition cause a Big Setup Misconfiguration. Use the Restore CD to turn back your HD and, If you want, use programs like Partition Magic to Split the active partition.
