I recently rebuilt a Dell Studio 1735 that has a Core 2 Duo 2.5GHz, 2GB DDR2 and a 3650 graphics card. For a trial run I installed a few games just to try out for a day.
The first game on the list was Call of Duty United Offensive Multiplayer and the game lagged to buggery. After realising that it was laggy I stuck the graphics on low and the game had already set itself to 800x600. Still the same amount of lag.

I know for a fact that United Offensive runs seemlessly on high graphics on old onboard graphics. If memory serves it'll run at a playable level for an onboard graphics card on a 775 motherboard.
The latest Catalyst drivers available are installed on the laptop, along with the latest Intel chipset drivers. The laptop was connected at 100mbps and I know the connection works fine because a PC took its place after the first round, which worked fine. I can't think of anything else that would lag the game so much. Has anyone got any ideas?

i'm at a loss as to why...

even with 2gb of ram.. it shouldn't be having a conniption like that.

Mind going into the adapters device properties and writing down the adapters driver version and make sure it's indeed the latest reference driver? Just to double check.

because I've had several dells/toshiba's..etc...... appear to install the drivers fine and only find out that the display driver wasn't actually installed, it kept using a windows update version or supplied version/ms version which really ran poorly..

all cases i had to manually modify the installers INF to include the specific Hardware ID the adapter used and then force the installation.
