Re: toshiba satelitte pro cpu upgrade ?
I can't say "for sure" as I would have to hunt down the manual for the laptop which might suggest something, however I would assume that since this uses a T3200 that it might also support the T3400 as it's also from the same series (as you can see by THIS side by side comparison).
I don't think it'd support any other processor, although again, I can't say for sure. Toshiba used the same chassis for a lot of models, including the S300-11G, a T5870 series processor (that runs on an 800mhz bus vs your current that runs at 667mhz), but that doesn't necessarily mean they used the same internals, specifically the motherboard. Wish I could be of more help. If I find any more info though I'll post back. |

Re: toshiba satelitte pro cpu upgrade ?
I was thinking of upgrading my processor a while back. The specific details i looked into were:
1. Socket type 2. Max TDP 3. Bus speed 4. Lithography If you go to the intel site with the link below, you should be able to get the info you need Intel® Core™2 Duo Mobile Processor Specifications I know some 800 Mhz motherboard support 1066 Mhz motherboard but you'll need to check the specification of the motherboard, the exact model, from the manufacturer (Toshiba) hope this helps |
