Hi everyone

I wanna buy a laptop. Budget around Rs.60,000 - 65,000. I want it for multimedia and gaming. Wanna play games like BF3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, CoD MW3, Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City...

SPECIFICATIONS: 15.6" screen with resolution 1920*1080. 8GB DDR3 RAM. A good graphics card preferably NVIDIA. Battery life should be good...

Can you please help out with what options I have? PLEASE!

I know that but things he want is not possible to get at Rs.65000. Laptop are very costly in india in comparision to USA Britain and other developed countries.Not even laptops all gadgets are costlier.

The GT425m doesn't sound ideal for the intended use. It's a watered down GT430, and the last thing the GT430 needs is watering down. Can you link some decent Indian etailers, cmptrluvr or Ishank, so that us non-Indians can see what's available for the price?

Also, I'm guessing OP is aware of this, but just in case not: at any given performance level in games it's normally far, far more expensive to get a laptop than a desktop. It might even be worth looking into a desktop for gaming and a cheaper laptop for portable office work, if that meets your needs.

Then I guess the best bet is one of the Sony VAIOs with 4GB of RAM and a Radeon 6630m. Anything else and you get stuck with the 540m (not suitable for gaming) or the 6490m (not suitable for gaming). As it is, the 6630 will really struggle in a lot of games - it's on a par with a 9600GT or GT240, which are both quite old cards. Certainly you'd be stuck at very low resolutions in BF3, and at lowest settings.

If you could get a second hand laptop with a GTX280M/GTX285M that'd still be less than ideal for new games at 1080p, but a big improvement. Ideally you want at least a GTX560m, and that's going to be way out of budget.

I wish it had a little higher display resolution...& an Nvidia card...

That's a big improvement, but the graphics are still pretty lackluster - 8800GT class performance at best. Slower than a desktop 5670.
