Sony Vaio problem...please help
Hi there,
I've got the problem with my Sony Vaio VPCEB2M0E. I got this laptop from someone and it has been used before for more than a year so no warranty. First of all, before I got this, the laptop started to freeze each single time it was switched on, and it kept freezing at the moment when the windows is loading and you have got the windows logo on before welcome page. After this, there was a error popping out. It said something about hard drive, it was 0x.... it had loads of zeros. That's all I remember. I reinstalled the windows and it worked perfect until it started to freeze with no reason. Reinstalled the windows again but the problem persists. When it starts up, there is no applications to open so it should be smooth straight away (or at least couple of minutes) and it is not. I go to "start" circle and it does not open it straight or I go to anywhere and it takes time to do stuff. Something when I am trying to open a few things at once, then it freezes, and suddenly opens them all at once. Is it RAM, HD, CPU or what?? Normally I have got a crap laptop and I need this so I would like to repair it, but I need some help please. |

Try to check temperatures of CPU and GPU during the work on laptop.
Maybe some of the components inside of the laptop is heating up constantly and make those signs of freezing. |

Re: Sony Vaio problem...please help
I used speedfan. All temps are between 40 and 50. When I started windows and a speedfan, then it was opening it for a little while, a few mins I mean, and when it finally opened, I saw that the temp was 50 and dropped to 42 I think. However the system temp, whatever that is, varies at a high rate. When I try to do a lot, then the system temp increases even above 50.
BTW, when I tried to open hearts the windows game, the window popped out saying that the hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported etc. |

BTW, I am running the disk check for errors for the disk C where the windows is, and it is on the fourth stage at 12% for over an hour now. It says "Windows replaced bad clusters in file 11555 of name \hiberfil.sys".

Disk errors is not a good sign, do you have a backup? You're probably going to need it.
