Dell Inspiron 1545 CD/DVD drive issues!

Hey guys,

I've had my laptop for just under two years now, and recently it decided that the DVD drive wouldn't show up when I go to My Computer.
When I put a CD or DVD in, it will show up for several minutes and then stop showing until I open the drive and close it again.

I have tried using another drive & the same issue occurs. I recently reinstalled windows 7, but I'm sure it worked after that; I have also installed a Clone Drive software which has now been uninstalled after finding out it could have something to do with this issue!

This issue means that I can't burn CDs / DVDs because the drive is not being shown!

One last thing, I went to the 'Device Manager' and the drive was showing, it had a yellow triangle next to it; and when I chose to scan for hardware changes the drive disappeared.
