strong internet connection... no internet!

so it worked last night turned my computer off.. and thismorning i turned it back on. says i have a strong connection. but doesnt load up any pages on IE .. nothing. any ideas.

What type of connection you got ?? 3G, WiMAX or WiFi?

might be router related issue. DHCP server isn't giving proper IP addresses ...

o wait weird.. i turned my computer off .. and its back on again an now it works.. odd...

well it's not odd... if the issue was in the DHCP service on the WiFi router...

it seem to only do that when i restart it after and upgrade or installing something.. after that i have to shut down and then it works

yup and now it just doesnt work turning it on and off doesnt work at all lol... i dont know what the hell the problem is.. says it has excellent connection. starts off att 144 mbp.s
and then cuts in half to around 65...70 but still says excellent... and i cant open up a web site.. says website found waiting for reply ...and the bar goes ever so slow.
but its only my computer... this one works fine as you can see... and everything else that uses internet lol so what is the deal?

This has worked for me in the past. My lappy does something similar sometimes. If a restart doesn't fix it I shut down the lap and reboot the router/modem (mine is a combo) and that always, so far anyway, does the trick. No harm in trying right?
