ATI Mobility IGP 320M: working modded Catalyst 9.5 on WinXP x86|Compaq Presario 2100

Hi, I'm new here and I wanted to make a small contribution on this IGP, on WinXP 32-bit. I'm going to briefly say what versions of Catalyst I tried with the final version of ATI Mobility Modder (1.2.1.0) and worked and which didn't and how.

- Catalyst 9.3 & 9.5 install fine after modding them.

- Catalyst 9.6 & 9.7, will mod & install but WinXP won't use them, it will keep using the 'VGA Safe' Driver.

- Catalyst 9.8, 9.12, 10.2, 10.5 will mod but won't install correctly, in Device Manager you'll get the yellow circle with black exclamation mark.

- Any later version will not mod (tried about 4).

In some cases if the installer couldn't install the driver I did it through the Device Manager, 'Update Driver' Option and wen't looking the .inf file in the decompressed driver in 'X:\ATI\Support\n.n-driver-WinXP-32-bit' directory. One of the drivers that didn't install just gave BSOD, don't remember which one.

I didn't have the time to try Cat Mod.

I hope it helps. Good Luck.

Edit: I spent about 18 hours total (This Notebook is really slow for today's standard), downloading (36 KB/s) & trying all these drivers. WinXP SP3 32-bit, fully patched, updated drivers and latest BIOS (May 2005).

Edit 2: For latest AMD/ATI Drivers
