Laptop questions :)
I am a person with the worlds most horrid handwriting, and am looking for a slim, light, decently priced, yet somewhat powerful laptop, i am trying to stay as far away from centrino's as possible (spelling) so far have looked at fujitsu 2000 series, powerbook G4 12in, some sony's and a few hp/compaqs, trying to keep it somewhat in those manufactor ranges, since i get a nice little discount through work. Anyone with any advice, experience or anything generally helpful?

I'm looking around at different laptops too, and the Sony and the Dell ultralight laptops are the ones that look the best to me, personally. I've used a friend's Sony ultralight laptop (forget the model #), and I rather liked the style and feel of the computer. Hope that helps you somewhat

A friend of mine got a Fujitsu a while back, and I must say this was probably one of my favorite laptops. It was very comfortable to use and had a very sharp display. This is definately the brand I would get if I were looking into laptops.

The fujitsu's are looking pretty good, then i stumbled across sharp, and from what i have seen so far, they also seem to put out one heck of an ultralight portable. Any expierences with centrino's out there? not excatly sure how they work.

Centrinos are merely Intel CPUs in Intel Motherboards with integrated Intel 802.11b wireless chips on em. Centrino itself isn't anything but a standard. There are a few other restrictions, on weight and size and so forth on Centrino laptops, but as a whole Centrino is just a set of guidelines and intel hardware. Nothing special, nothing worth avoiding, though.
