512MB To 1024MB Is it worth it? & 3DMark Becnhmarking results

Adding more memory is like getting a bigger desk so you can work on more program and data at the same time. 1 gig of ram is plenty right now if you're playing just one game:P

My friend have 2.6 Ghz, 9700pro and a 1gig of ram, played Counterstrike :Source, it's run very good and smooth.

Half-life 2 wont have hefty requirements. I experience next to no FPS problems in CS:Source and thats even considering the fact that its all online. I seriously would not worry too much about HL2 on a mobility 9700.

even so, the M9800 is pretty tempting.

Half-Life 2 will be able to play on Directx 7 to 9, soo 9700 is directx 8 and it'll runs just fine. Even Geforce 2 will good.

nooo....9700 is DX9 most definatly.

anyone know if i will be able to play hl2 on a mobility 9000 128 mg with 640 ram and omegas drivers...?

im doubting it,,,,, but until i get my new system its gunna have to do....

yeah you can. It wont be DX9 though. It'll still run pretty well methinks.

I have a puny earth type E-machine with 512 and amd 64 athlon..I think the upgrade would be credible.
