what can I burn???
Hi
i have a Presario 2500 laptop and iI was wondering if I can burn 9GB dvds with my HL-DT-ST DVD+RW GCA-4040N drive. Can anyone answer that?? THX

If i get it right, no it's not possible. Are they just data discs you want to burn? or video? what's the purpose?

No your (LG electronics) can't burn on duel layer DVD's only CD's and standard 4.7 GB dvd's...

Why? it appears your DVD writer only writes:
DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW

update
hi everyone
I chated with a guy from HP tech support and he told me that my drive cannot burn any double layer dvds but it can manage the 9GB single layer ones. havent tested it yet but as soon as i do i'll post my results. thank you all for your replies
