Well well well you again! BSOD

Some annoying things happening the last 2 days.

I have had multiple BSOD (one of them was actually red in colour and without detailed information/text but who is counting) all of them while playing a game. The first was with Rally Trophy, the other were with NFSHotPursuit2, Elite Force II. The last one (about 10 min ago) also gave me a nice web page from MS when reloaded with the very cute text

I wonder if my laptop or just my graphics card is dying. In either case I am screwed since it can't be upgraded. Compaq Presario 2816ea with ATI Radeon Mobility 7500 w64.

The common thing with the above games are from what I know, they are 3D games with well, intensive for my laptop, demands. But I never had a problem before so...it is probably it is dying on me, right?

Any suggestions? Any donations? :-)

A small, interesting perhaps, notice. I put an object underneath the laptop to elevate it and see if it is perhaps heat related problem. I left it like that for a while, it was cooler than normaly of course. I accidentaly pulled the laptop and it dropped from a height of 1-1.5cm. It went to BSOD almost immediately after that. Could it mean something? (other than any levels of stupidity hiding inside me)

Hmm a shoot in the dark but it could be your ram is becoming unseated.

Well, it could be. I put the back of the laptop on a case of screwdrivers and it is now (at least half of it) about 1cm in height from the desk. I haven't have any more BSOD (laptop crashes with a BSOD as soon as I type this) since. I played hours of NFS HP2, Elite Force 2, BoTF, and it looks to be running without problems. I wonder if what I did actualy helped and why. Perhaps it was heat or this angle helps whatever it is inside, not mulfunction or something???
I would say heat, but, why wouldn't it crash before? I mean I have let the machine on for days at times, and for 10s of hours playing other 3D games like Renegade, NOLF2, RTW, Dungeon Siege, etc. I miss my ST
