Linux and Laptops
anyone tried installing linux on a laptop completly removing the windows OS.?
I got a toshiba a33, 40 gig, and am preparing to do it on Monday after i contant toshiba and see if my warranty is still valid if i do this.... Shouldnt have any problems.......right..? will be fedora core 3

You might have problems installing Linux on a laptop, especially with the drivers
Best thing to do is NOT remove Windows, but install linux on a secondary partition and try it there first. Alternatively, you can check if you can run Linux on your laptop by trying a liveCD first, e.g. Knoppix. This is a complete OS that runs without installation straight from the CD drive. ok so im ready to install fc3... but i cant find any drivers...? not a singel one... any ideas where i can find linux drivers for a toshiba satellite a33...?????
