Widescreen & Catalyst 5.2

Hi!

I just installed Catalyst 5.2 drivers with DH mod tool to my laptop. Now I am not able to use widescreen resolution, which is 1280*800. This resolution is not listed in the display properties page. Now I have to use 1024*768 and scretch it to full screen. It does not look very good... Could someone help. My laptop is Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D1845.

Thanks.

I have a Toshiba laptop with the same widescreen resolution, Cat 5.1 ( modded ), and have no problem...
Haven't tested 5.2, but i guess you might not have reconfigured the display or monitor driver to use a widescreen res, then you should be able to use 1280*800.
Hope that helps.

How to reconfigure the display driver? I have tried to chance the driver for the display, but there is no driver with wanted resolution. Only for those normal resolution displays.

I went from normal modded 4.8's (Patje 2.0a) to 5.2 modded (again with Patje 2.1).

I've also not been able to get 1280x800 resolution with 5.2. Plug & Play / Default monitor drivers in XP don't give me the option to get 1280x800 so I have gone back to 4.8 for now.

Use the Omega 5.1 drivers, they are the most recent drivers that I found out to be working in this resolution. I have a Fujitsu/Siemens M1425 and it's workin' very well in 1280x800 res. Good luck.
