doom 3 in Acer Ferrari 3400

hi, I have a ferrari 3400 laptop (ati mobility 9700, amd 64 3000+, and memmory 1 giga) when I played doom 3 after 2 miniutes it freezed and I have to reboot my laptop is there anyone can help me??? thank you...

What OS? Are you using the latest drivers? Nice laptop by the way

I'm using windows xp sp2.
about the driver I don't know nothing about it, I'm just using the driver that acer gave me... all I can say the version is 6.14.0010.6422 (english) ==> look at dxdiag. can I update my driver?? If I can, can you give me the site/link thanx..

Update the driver at www.ati.com
Perhaps update DirectX as well - www.microsoft.com/directx

I try looking at ati.com but they don't have an update driver for ati mobility radeon 9700, ati say that go to manufacture notebook and I did but there is no update driver for my vga.

I'm using 9.0c directx (I think this is the latest)

please is there anyone can help me.... *cry
