SanDisk Driver nightmare and DVD RW horror

Hey can anyone help me. My laptop died and I had to reinstall a load of drivers. Some of you guys helped me with my modem driver and that now works thank god.

My problem is now that my DVD-RW has just stopped wrighting and by the look of it is only been seen as a DVD rom. It looks like it will burn Cd's but is not recognising a DVD i put in.

Also if anyone has a driver for a SanDisk memory card slot that would be great as I still can't get the thing to work!!!! Oh my computer is a dreaded Toshiba Satellite P10-722, apparently they don't make them anymore as they were so embarresed by them!!!!!
