Greets all,
I have a Dell C610 laptop I reformatted three weeks ago. I don't have the Dell resource CD and went to the net for drivers. I was able to download the sound driver successfully although no luck with te modem. . . I went to the Dell website downloaded what appeared to be the proper driver, but upon unzipping it stated that the other disks were missing from the set. In any case, I searched the net and found a driver from the manufacturer's web site. It seems to have install, but with a glitch . . . I get (Dual dial tones). Now, it's hit or miss when I can connect and moreover, if I do I get dual web browsers. I tried to reinstall twice and now it just picks up the modem and install into the device group and show as some sort of Intel device modem. Ok, now I'm stumped! Anyone have a clue on how to fix this one? Thanks, avengerm1 |

I have the same model - I'll check for you when I get back to work Monday the 26th if you don't have it sorted, but as I remember it is not an Intel modem (I think it's a PCTel) - did you get it from the support page for the Latitude C610 here:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...9&fileid=39824 Oh, and here's the page to access all the drivers for the Latitude C610 running Windows XP: http://support.dell.com/support/down...&os=WW1&osl=EN
