IBM R51 S-video TV out - NEED HELP!!!

Hi all

I have an IBM R51 type 2887-K2G
I'm trying to use the Svideo TV output with an S-Video to RCA cable
and the problem is that the connector is not recognized and wont let me switch the video to the TV out.

I've spoken to IBM support on the phone and the only thing they had to tell me is that I have to use an S-video cable on both ends to connect to the TV in order to use this output...
the thing is that last month I WAS able to use this and I have no idea whats blocking the recognition now...

is there a way to force windows to recognize the output?

the laptop's video card is an Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphices controller.

I've already checked the driver settings every were possible and the TV output is just no there...

THanks guys.

Changed video drivers lately, or updated bios or chipset drivers?
