solaris 9 is a unix based os that is used mainly by sun microsystems for thier servers and worksations

I HOPE EVERYONE CHOOSE INTEL PLATFORM LOL and not alpha lol

As far as i knew it was only _free_ for the uniprocessor Intel systems.
I'll check to see, but in such a case, i dont think _free_ is the right word..

yep, just checked...

"you can use the software on single processor computers supplied to you by Sun or its authorized distributors or based on the Intel architecture."

Solaris is only good on sparc architecture, on Intel it's just too slow

Awwww - I want it free! Did anyone recieve their free copy, or is this like that random free Norton Antivirus deal that was up quite a while ago where lots of people found the site and ordered free Anti-virus software, but only one person claimed to have gotten the software...
