Ubuntu 6.10 installer failure

I have weird problem. I downloaded 6.10 amd64 installation cd-image and wrote it to cd-rw disc. Installation can't stat due to and x-server error. It says that it can't load driver for my gfx card.
Now is this bug in the installer??

I had problems upgrading from Dapper to Edgy had to use the alternate CD (text based installer) maybe you should give that a try. Mine also bombed out at one stage because my mem was overclocked Windoze was fine with it but Ubuntu install crashed out so turn down your clocks until you have it installed...
