Congrats!
How's it going with the soundcard? I'd expect it to "work" on a basic level.

Man, I can't wait to get enough components to build a second computer for Linux, I used to use it all the time...but always had to restart into windows if I wanted to play a game, got to be a hassle.

Well, my main games are UT and UT2003 which have good Linux ports
![]() Otherwise you can buy the Transgaming WineX plugin which allows a fair few Windows games to run at decent speeds under Linux

FYI - GTK is the Gimp Tool Kit which is a set of widgets and stuff that make up the GNOME GUI. Mozilla (and Firebird) uses GTK1 which uses more memory, is slower and has bad font handling. GTK2 solves all this, but the Mozilla code base isn't fully ready yet. However, it works for me and gives beautifully anti-aliased fonts. Speaking of fonts, go and get the Bitstream Vera fonts. They are damn damn good and open source ![]() They are TTF's and thus work on Windows as well.

It looks, and acts exactly the same under Linux, as it does under windows.
