Accessing Linux File Systems From Windows

How?

I can access NTFS from RH9, but how can I do vice versa?

Not a good idea

It's not a good idea to mount a linux partition (ext2, ext3, reiserfs) from windows. There a couple of programs that do this, mostly ext2 filesystems. But speaking form experience, they usually mess up the file system and your linux install is pretty much screwed. But here's a link to a google search which brought up some stuff: http://www.google.ca/search?q=mount+...-8&hl=en&meta=

If you want to access text files or mp3's that you want to use between both windows and linux, it's best to make a vfat32 partition and store that kind of stuff there so that linux and windows can mount, read/write to it.

Hope this helps

What he said. It's by far the simpliest/safest solution.

Keeping this in mind, EXT2FS works well if you want to access the Linux filesystem read-only (to get back a file your created and forgot there for example). I used it (it was an earlier version) with no problems whatsoever.

For ReiserFS, there is a tool that is able to read from such partitions.

Get it here

There used to be a GUI for it here but the site seems to have gone down.
