??? Linux Screen Drivers

We are seeking information to get our Proview LCD screen operating in Ubuntu/Linux. Have contacted Proview but no replies. This model shows as Raedeon made in 2000. Any suggestions with regard drivers.

Nick & Julie.

Re: Linux Screen Drivers

Try to get the drivers working by downloading the ATi Catalyst package from Advanced Micro Devices Inc..

Other than that I would like recommend the Ubuntu forum for further help in this. Search the database for information first and then ask someone if you don't find anything.

Re: Linux Screen Drivers

just an fyi ATI dropped support for the 9200/R200 and below quite awhile back.
Last fglrx driver was 8.28.8 you'd have to try and recompile it for the newer xorgs.
Best bet is to use the xorg driver or the openradeon driver.
