window manager switch?

got one question here...

I know this is sort of a WAY newbie question...

But how do you change window managers? I selected IceWM... but I like KDE...

How do I switch back?!?!?

Hehe, again... Here I am learning all these indepth things... and I dont know the simple things...

Bleh - depends on the distro really.

IIRC - and it's been a very long time since I used Mandrake - the WM selection was still in ~/.xinitrc

A quick search on Google shows that you can do

Code:

startx Enlightenment

so you should be able to do a

Code:

startx KDE

or

Code:

startx ICEwm

Note - names may be case sensitive and I may have got them wrong. Also, that should work in Mandrake 8 - dunno if it works in 9.2

ahhh, ok I'll try that out....

Cuz I know its loaded... I just want to use it ALL the time... like default...
