USB Printer in Linux

I am running Debian Linux (WOODY-stable) on my server and and wondering how to set up printing with my Epson C62 USB printer? Does anyone have a guide they could direct me to or maybe point me in the right direction?

At the moment it's shared from Windows XP workstation but I want ti samba shared through the server since it's running 24x7.

I have no other usb devices installed and have been in and compiled myself a kernel with usb support (I hope I go all the right stuff in there!) but I have no idea what else to do. Is it a matter of just plugging the thing in now!?

Thanks.

I would install CUPS and set it up so CUPS is the printer server, not Samba. Then, just have your client machines print to the CUPS server. Try http://www.linuxprinting.org/ for more information on the subject.

I had to use Gimp-print 5.0 beta drivers for my C84. With current stable ones I couldn't print. I also have CUPS and foomatic installed for printer support.
