Question...

i finally got Suse downloaded, and a thought comes to mind, is it possible for me to install Suse (9.3 Pro) on the same HDD without formatting or deleting anything?

Yes, you can install a Linux distribution on the same HDD as your Windows installation. Just use Partition Magic or the partition program that comes with SuSE (they used to have Disk Druid in the past, can't remember what they use now).

You can shrink your current partition and install Linux on it, and you'll have a menu during boot which will allow you to choose the operating system that you wish to boot into
