OS X doesn't require 64bit drivers as it's a "hybrid" OS

hello guys, i have an audigy value card n an installed 10.5.4 leo. i was tryin' to install the 1.21b kxaudiodriver but nothing happened after i did that because the card didn't supported. is there anything i can do to make my sound card works? thanks in advance.

p.s: i'm sorry if this is a miss placed post, just move it to the proper place and let me know if you do that. thank you.

hello and thank you for the drivers!

my only prob is that input doesent work, i have iPC 10.5.6 updated to 10.5.7 on an intel system and a Audigy platinum EX (SB0090)

does any1 know a solution to this problem?

surrond natively supported in OS X only via spdif out (digital)
if you want an analog 5.1 (or 7.1) sound you should mix it yourself copy signal or smth like that all this stuff including bass redirection you can do with 2 programs

1. SoundFlower
2. AULab (it is included into XCode package)

SoundFlower is a virtual audio interface it ill have stereo input for progs and mapped outs to the out of you sound card
With the help of the AULab you can create a 5.1 mixer and use plugins for example for bass redirection you should use frequency filter

I have to reinstall everytime i want to use OS X on my PC...what is the problem, what is causing my system to "UN-READ" the PCI card everytime i shutdown..its practically stupid...i have to keep the installer file on the Desktop and install it everytime i wish to hear Music...
I have a Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1, CT4832 card(attached)
I have another Realtek High Def. card, ALC888 (MOBO DG31PR) I HAVE DISABLED THIS IN THE BIOS....

plz plz help me....

where i can download the KxAudioDriver source's ? ?? i need recopmpile it for 64 bit !

you cannot download kX sources as the driver is not open-source.
(neither Mac nor Win versions)
