Re: Snow Leopard coming in September 2009

I was really surprised at the upgrade price point: $29 for single user license, $49 for family 5 pack. Considering they normally charge $129 this is a very sweet deal.

Re: Snow Leopard coming in September 2009

I'm rather worried, maybe plenty of our hacked up stuff won't work on it... probably the end of kX too... (Obviously apple dudes will rape it before it goes in the hand of IMF guys)

Re: Snow Leopard coming in September 2009

I think its like any new build of an OS, things will break and they will get updated to work again. I would suggest an install on another HD to test before moving over in the short term.

Re: Snow Leopard coming in September 2009

Another HD, now that is something "I have" I realized any Normal OSX installation immediately takes up 8GB and they claim Snow Leo will take out 5GB~6GB so actual install is like 2~3GB? Now this is expected to be real fast!

Re: Snow Leopard coming in September 2009

Yeah, although to be fair you can already strip a lot of the useless code (such as power PC) if you use xslimmer. you can generally save a few gigabytes on a current OS with it. although its more application targeted ....

A good idea would be to post in the KxAudioDriver forums, not a macintosh thread talking about snow Leopard !!!
