Just an idea...

Hello my name is Andrey and I recently made the jump from windows to MAC Osx. I'm still using windows don't get me wrong but I wanna try to lean the mac operating system this year. I'm making music and use an EMU1212 soundcard. The provided drivers work ok. The only thing that is missing are the audio inputs

Now some ideas...

I already heard that people donated or wanted to donate money for the project. That's a great Idea and I would personally contribute with 25€ but after reading some threads I got the impression that people didn't want to donate until the driver is finished.

I think we are only a small amount of users who will use that driver and I wounder if the driver could be sold for lets say 15€ or 20$. People who want it would be forced to buy it and we would solve that donation problem. I can understand how Eugene feels. If no one donated (which I think is the situation that we have right now) I would be pretty much unmotivated to write anything.

there's just one uncomfortable thing.
the people who use this driver (well, i'm now talking just about mac os users) probably are not as wealthy as needed for contributing or, on the other way round, have enough cash to buy a better soundcard.

so that's the problem.
the target audience of kX isn't solvent enough.

this is Russia, you know.
in Soviet Russia a driver donates to you (what is sadly, but quite true).

I do not see what this has to do with Russia at all.

yeah I also kinda don't understand the problem. and yeah by the way I was born in Russia...and currently live in Germany.
If someone is using a top of the line PC that runs hackintosh I think he/she can find 15-20$. Just think about how much an audio interface would cost.
