ATI Mobility Radeon 4650
I have the above graphics processor on my HP Pavilion dv7-2177cl laptop. However using Mobility Modder I can install only driver and catalyst version 8-12_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_72271 and not any higher. I tried installing catalyst and driver version 10-3_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu but the driver fails to install even after using the mobility modder to modify the standard driver as per instructions. It comes up with an error message stating that the driver installtion failed as it is an unsigned driver version. It does not provide an over ride option to install the driver any way unlike 8-12_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_72771. Is there any solution for this issue ? I would be highly grateful if I could get a response. Thanks for all your help.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
No replies from Sony... well... I'm trying.. Everebody that has Sony Vaio must send an e-mail to the Support team asking for the Ati support for 10.3 Driver (I used the argument that HP, Dell, and other great notebooks have support for it, why not Sony..) =D

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Sorry for the me too post, but I am also very keen to find out about any possibility of a new version of the modder. Us XP x64 users have been left out in the dark by AMD/ATI's new official drivers.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Hello everyone,
This question may have been answered before, I am sorry if I am repeating it. I recently bought a new laptop with a HD 5850 in it. Will there be support for this card via Mobility Modder? If so, when does it come out?? Thanks! |

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Hey guys i have a Sony Vaio laptop, running windows 7 64 bit. I ran the installer from this thread, and the driver seems to have installed fine, but CCC is reporting i have Catalyst version 9.7 running. If i go into device manager it shows i have a driver from 3/2/2010 and driver version 8.712.0.0..
So how do i fix CCC's reporting? Last edited by DaRonRon; Apr 25, 2010 at 04:30 PM. |

Sorry to ask but can any of the moderators give us a clue on the progress of promised new version of MM to work with latest ATI CCC/drivers which are now on version 10.4.

http://www.drivercup.com/DriverDownl..._32_dd_ccc.zip
http://www.drivercup.com/DriverDownl..._64_dd_ccc.zip 32 & 64-bit versions, works fine on my Sony Vaio computer. Copy the link and insert to your browser, if you click on it, it wont work. |

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
I want to remind you, every time do it like this:
- uninstall the old driver via Device Manager - use Driver Cleaner 3.3 - install 10.4 (Catalyst Version: 10.4 / Driver Version: 8.723) Last edited by Robin_Hood; May 2, 2010 at 10:49 PM. |

Hmm, my Dell Inspiron Zino 400 has a ATI Mobility 4330 but the drivers refuse to be installed. As far as I know Dell wasn't on the list of manufacturers that refuses ATI to support their hardware directly... Bugger!

Driver Cleaner 3.3 is free.
Alternative for example Driver Sweeper |

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Thanks for posting the modded drivers for 10.4, however i seem to have a problem, whenever i install drivers other than the ones windows update finds my laptop keeps BSOD'ing after playing games for like 15mins, its only with the ones from windows update (Version 8.632.1.2000) that i can play games for extended periods of time without it crashing, can anyone shed some light on why this is happening?
thanks in advance Edit; probably should have included my specs OS: Win7 64bit Ultimate Ram: 2gb CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @ 2GHz @ 2GHz GPU: Ati Mobility Radeon HD 3450 Last edited by SvenVolfeid; May 27, 2010 at 03:07 AM. |

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
the 10.4 and 10.5 packages posted don't support the older ati mobility hardware though like my 1600
This is list of cards the package checks for."ATI Mobility Radeon 4100" = ati2mtag_RS880M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9713 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400" = ati2mtag_M72, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94C9 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT" = ati2mtag_M72, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94C8 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9581 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9583 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series" = ati2mtag_M72, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C4 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3430" = ati2mtag_M72, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C2 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9591 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9593 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9504 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850 X2" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9506 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9508 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 X2" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9509 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series" = ati2mtag_RS880M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9712 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9552 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9555 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100 Series" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9480 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9488 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830" = ati2mtag_M9x7, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94A0 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850" = ati2mtag_M9x8, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_944A "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4860" = ati2mtag_M9x7, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94A1 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870" = ati2mtag_M9x8, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_945A "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series" = ati2mtag_ManhattanP, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68E0 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series " = ati2mtag_ManhattanP, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68E1 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5600/5700 Series" = ati2mtag_Manhattan, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68C1 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5700 Series" = ati2mtag_Manhattan, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68C0 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series" = ati2mtag_Manhattan, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68A0 "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series " = ati2mtag_Manhattan, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68A1 "ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics" = ati2mtag_RS780M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9613 "ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics" = ati2mtag_RS780M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9612 |

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
i am trying to figure out how to get my x700 to work fully on my acer travelmate 4402 running windows 7
im confused about these 10.2 legacy drivers... just what are they supposed to do? work right of the bat without the mod? or do we need to mod them... some how i was screwing around not sure with windows and trying to install some ati driver and i did manage to have areo to work but i had no CCC or anything really related to ati drivers, the video driver was 2008 ati, but that cant be the 10.x driver :/ so it must have been just a windows 7 driver for the legacy devices which driver do we take and mod?

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Drutort: You would likely need to get the 9.12 drivers and mod them with the ModTool. Anything newer will not work with ModTool, and Robin_Hood's drivers (I personally use 10.5 x64) likely do not support the x700 as MysticalOS's post seems to indicate.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Wow! Just came back here after trying (and failing) to install the Catalyst 10.5 drivers using Mobility Modder.net v1.2.1.0, and I'm relieved to see that other people are having the same problem & that it appears something's being done about it *FINALLY*.
I've been having this problem since Catalyst 9.2 on my Gateway C-140x tablet. It has an ATI Mobility HD 2300. I'm running Windows 7 x64 bit. (See thread here: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/mobili...yst-9-9-a.html ) (Note: I was trying to use the "desktop" drivers since then to no avail, but gave up.) After modding, I get the familiar errors in the Report.xml file: Code:
[..]
<package>
<description>ATI Display Driver</description>
<result>Fail</result>
<version>8.732.0.0000</version>
<size>90 </size>
</package>
[..]
<error><msg>Driver Install: the installation failed</msg></error>

Re: ATI Mobility Modder and Catalyst 10.1
Cat. 10.6 has big improvement over FLASH hardware acceleration, denoise for HD, but we Sony VAIO user can't get any benefit from it just because the Sony does not allow.
I have tried many method, including Mobility Modder, of course, but my work turn out to be in vain. I have sent email to express my anger but I do not think there will be any change, I will not buy any Sony notebook. I prefer Asus as they accept ATI mobility drivers. |

If you run Vista or Win 7 complete form on this site - if you choose Notebook Graphics and you are able to choose your graphics product the resulting download does not require MM to install.
