Dell Dim4100 Freezes with Mobility Radeon9000 Card

I've seen a few other threads that indicate that this might be a bios issue but since I'm running the latest version, I'm hoping there is some other solution.

video card: Mobility/Radeon 9000 based card made by JetWay. Uses AGP intergace
video drivers: latest Omega
PC: Dell Dimension 4100
OS: Win XP SP2

Just got the card to replace one that crapped out. It seemed to install okay but the PC screen will completely freeze after a few minitues of operation. I have 2 indentical PCs so I swapped the cards but the problem followed the Mobility/Radeon9000 card.

Since I'm running the latest BIOS available from Dell I need to find another solution or take this thing back. Is it hopeless?

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

System Specs

The Dimension 4100's are fairly stable desktops, but not the best for cooling or PSU headroom (we use them as business desktops in our shop outfitted with with older Geforce2 GTS cards) Your card may be overheating...

Take the side cover off and set up a fan to blow into it and see if the condition changes.
