X600: Problems switching resolution or port

Hi,
im using a fujitsu siemens notebook with a mobility x600 chip. I often change my workplace and therefore I use my notebook in a docking station or even not in the following manner:
A) booting in docking station
resolution switching and switching to extenal monitor works fine
B) standby
C) awake without docking station
D) connecting a beamer
when switching resolution or switching to external port (beamer)
the dispay refreshs after some seconds and the driver? loads again and again
so i have to reboot. When rebooting, everthing works fine, until I go back and
leave the docking station...

I tried all available drivers:
- the original driver from fujitsu siemens
- ATI Mobile 6.2
- Omega Driver 3.8.221
all drives show the same behavior

Has anyone an idea for me?
Is this a driver problem or a hardware problem?
Thx a lot for any suggestions

Issues like this are typical of laptops...

Tried a bios update?

yes, I´ve flashed the latest bios on the notebook some weeks ago,
but nothing changes

Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the term "beamer" - what exactly is that? Can you help me out?

Another thought - it might have to do with software that lets the laptop know it is leaving the docking station - not real familiar with this though - never used a docking station...
