All right.
I'm about to scream in frustration! Here's my problem: This isn't my regular computer. I'm at a relatives, but I wanted to update the video card so that I could play 'The Sims 2' in all of it's glory, as this machine has a better card than mine. So, I figure "How hard is that? Download, click, install, done!". Well, it wasn't that easy. I'm signed up at another forum with a tech section. They suggested I un-install my card, and then try to install the update. I tried that. Got the error message: Severe! Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup. --------- Ahhh! What do I do? Now all the graphics are wonky because I've uninstalled! All I know is that the card is Mobility Radeon 9000, and I've got XP Professional. Help! Please! |

Hi, check out www.hardwareheaven.com/patje
There you will find the mobility modder, which will alter the driver so it can install on your computer. That should get you up and running. Patje
